Why did 3,000 copies of a college newspaper go missing?

Gross is the managing editor of Towson’s student newspaper The Towerlight, in which he recently broke a story about six resident assistants who resigned after they were nabbed drinking. In the story—which was gleaned from anonymous sources—Gross names names.

So far, it seems the only group patting Gross on the back for the big scoop is his editorial department. According to The Baltimore Sun, an estimated 3,000 copies of the newspaper were mysteriously stolen. Gross claims the papers disappeared to prevent the spread of his identifying the culprits.

He also told the Sun that university officials and students are furious about the report.
