Last year at this time everyone was talking about the e-reader as the next big thing.
It seems the prognosticators were right. It’s quickly becoming hard to imagine a world without Kindles, Nooks, iPads, and the like. One report found that one in 40 adults in the U.K. received an e-reader for the holidays.
A natural outgrowth of this trend has been the rise of simple, inexpensive e-publishing tools. This week, a writer discusses his experience with self-publishing and examines some of the advantages and pitfalls of the potentially endless editing that digital text allows.
