United pilots, PR firm launch ‘unfriendly skies’ campaign
The same high-powered team representing Current TV in its Keith Olbermann fallout is helping United Airlines pilots launch a PR offensive.
United and its pilots are locked in contract negotiations.
The campaign is titled “unfriendly skies” and not only includes a website, but also a Twitter feed, Facebook page, YouTube channel, and Google+ page.
The website in its current state is rudimentary. Search engine optimization (SEO) will also be a concern, because Googling “unfriendly skies” returns a website devoted to airline disasters and conspiracies of the past 50 years.
