Back in the States, Obama is still looking for support from crucial swing-voters come 2012, and so far, looks like he still has “Walmart Moms” in his corner.
Speaking of Walmart, seems the month of September is a critical month for retailers, as it’s seen as an indicator of consumer sentiment. Lucky for stores and the economy, customers seem hopeful, with back-to-school sales increasing 5.1 percent.
Meanwhile, holiday sales should also see an increase. The National Retail Federation predicts a rise of about 2.8 percent, although it’s much lower than the 5.2 growth seen last year.
