The top 10 corporate websites in the world
KWD Webranking surveyed and ranked the websites of the top corporations worldwide, and European companies were the big winners. Sorry, Asia.
This year, European firms dominate the list. Only one U.S. company cracked the top 20, and Asia firms were shut out.
“European companies have a longer tradition of online transparency, which is confirmed by the Global 100 list,” Marcus Ericsson, head of KWD Webranking, explained. “The European market simply has a higher demand of information, and the large companies respond accordingly.”
He noted that U.S. companies do “a fantastic job” using social media to communicate to their stakeholders, “an area where European companies are clearly behind.”
