Study: Social networking is the most popular online activity
Time spent on social networks in October accounted for nearly one in every five minutes online, according to comScore.
“Regardless of geography, social networks are weaving themselves ever more intricately into the fabric of the digital experience, opening a world of new opportunity for business and technology,” Linda Boland Abraham, comScore CMO and EVP of global development, said in a statement.
Facebook’s popularity was also evident in the study’s results. One in every seven minutes spent online were spent using Facebook. Also, 75 percent of all social networking activity was done using Facebook, according to the report.
