Snapchat proves educational in UK campaign
Government officials took to Snapchat for a recent ‘drug-driving’ campaign. The popular platform was used to reach a younger audience. Here’s how folks have responded thus far.
The UK government is embracing Snapchat.
Government officials are using the teen-friendly social media platform in its effort to warn against the dangers of driving under the influence of drugs.
The Department of Transport spent a reported £70,000 on sponsored Snapchat filters that put people behind bars with the tagline, “Drive high? The roadside swab will catch you.”
“Enforcement alone is not the answer,” a Department of Transport spokesman told CNET. “We need to educate and influence behavior change.
