Samsung still in damage-control mode after Galaxy Note crisis

The company has continued to offer its apologies over its devices that were known to catch on fire, but stock has dropped 30 percent in the third quarter.

Earlier this month, Samsung issued a full-page apology in The Wall Street Journal.

It was lengthy, and detailed the depths of its regret over the massive technical issues that users experienced with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.

The smartphone model has been known to overheat and catch fire. It’s been completely banned from airlines, and was removed from stores in October after only two months on the market—and a 2.5 million-device recall.

Here’s what Samsung Electronics North America president Gregory Lee’s apology looked like in print:
