Retailer uses ‘El Chapo’ images to boost marketing efforts
The infamous Mexican kingpin has been shown wearing Barabas shirts in pictures circulated online. The brand’s managers took to social media and used the photos to promote its merchandise.
That’s the message that clothing company Barabas is peddling in the wake of kingpin Joaqin “El Chapo” Guzman’s high-profile interview with actor Sean Penn and subsequent recapture:

The Los Angeles brand is known for its loud, colorful shirts. Two recent photos of Guzman—including the highly shared photo of Guzman with Penn—show him wearing Barabas shirts.
