After the famed and beloved Gene Wilder passed away Tuesday, fans, brand managers and colleagues posted their memories online. Here’s a sampling of how he was remembered on social media.
Social media has become an increasingly popular outlet to pay tribute and honor impactful people that have passed away.
Gene Wilder, famous for legendary comedic turns in “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” “Young Frankenstein” and “Blazing Saddles,” was honored across the web after he died Tuesday at age 83 from Alzheimer’s-related complications.
Tributes poured in as news of his passing filtered across the web.
Most notably, Wilder’s frequent collaborator, Mel Brooks, Tweeted the following:
