PR agency’s ‘pretweet’ tool scrubs out annoying terms
If you are just plain sick of constantly seeing the same terms used over and over on Twitter, then London-based Houston PR has the tool for you.
If you could scrub particular words or phrases from Twitter forever, what would they be?
That’s pretty close to the question London agency Houston PR asked a group of 500 peers, journalists, and social media experts. The agency ended up with a massive list of terms including overused words (“awesome”), Internet abbreviations (“zomg”), clichés (“if you read just one thing today”), intentional misspellings (“interwebs”), unintentional misspellings (“on route”), and a lot more.
The agency has launched a “pretweet” tool that gives social media managers the opportunity to check their tweets for annoying terms they may want to remove. The tool promises to “help you compose social media updates without sounding like everybody else.”
