Pinterest launches native video, “Explore” feature
The platform seemingly gained inspiration from other social media sites with its new autoplay offering to certain marketing partners—as well as its feature to help users find curated content.
The first is native video offerings that include autoplay features for Pinterest partners (read: advertisers).
Previously, you could only link to video on other sites, but a select group of users will now be able to upload them directly to Pinterest. Those videos will automatically play as users scroll past them.

Before you start to worry that this new feature will dominate your feed, Re/code explained how it will work:
These new autoplay videos probably won’t appear in your main Pinterest feed, though. The company is rolling out a new search tab that will include videos you may want to watch based on popular stuff on the site. For now, that search section is the primary place you’ll see autoplay video, and that will include autoplay video ads. (You could see autoplay in your main feed, too, but only if someone you follow pins one.)
