Fake Steve Jobs blogger and ‘Seinfeld’ writer to produce comedy series about Silicon Valley

Larry Charles, a writer for “Seinfeld” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” (among other shows), is teaming up with Newsweek columnist, Dan Lyons, who authored the satirical blog, The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs , for a half-hour comedy series called “iCON.” “The series will take place in and poke fun at the Silicon Valley tech culture,” reports Mashable . Busy week for Time Inc.’s PR department

The pink slips at Time Inc. are mounting. Silicon Alley Insider said 11 staffers from Entertainment Weekly lost their jobs Wednesday. The New York Times reported that 11 employees were let go from Fortune Small Business . The Times ’ Stephanie Clifford also said that Time Inc. filed with the New York State Department of Labor “to give notice that it has planned 280 layoffs in the state between Nov. 2 and Jan. 31.” These developments are keeping the company’s PR department busy…
