LinkedIn Poll: Most respondents learned about Osama bin Laden killing via TV news
We asked the PR Daily LinkedIn group how they heard about the momentous news on Sunday night.
“I had been watching my DVR recording of the royal wedding,” said DeJuan McGuire, an applications engineer at Crane Pumps & Systems “I stopped it to go to bed. The live television was on ESPN, as usual. They had a ticker going across the bottom of the screen telling of the news.”
According to our poll, 34 percent of respondents said they learned the momentous news on the television, followed by 27 percent who indicated Twitter, and 24 percent who said “someone told me.”
Marketing consultant Gerald Hosenkamp said he was at a fundraising event in Orange County on Sunday when a person sitting at his table answered a call from her daughter.
“The whisper then went around the table during an acceptance speech by the president of Gonzaga University who was talking about the evidence of God in modern physics,” he explained.
