LinkedIn hits 200 million users
The company called it a milestone moment for the social network that still trails Facebook and Twitter for number of members.
That means if LinkedIn were a country, it would be the fifth-most-populated nation in the world, according to an infographic released by the company (see below).
Calling it an important milestone for the company, LinkedIn exec Deep Nishar said in a blog post the social network has users in more than 200 countries and territories and serves them in 19 languages.
The lion’s share of members (74 million) are in the U.S.; 18 million members reside in India, 11 million in Brazil and the U.K., respectively, and seven million in Canada.
Turkey, Colombia, and Indonesia are the fastest growing nations on LinkedIn.
