Incredible video: Van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’ in dominoes
It took 11 hours to build, and minutes to topple. Plus, old yearbook photos, Obama wants your wedding gifts, ‘The Newsroom’ drinking game, remembering Lonesome George, no hand-holding in Tennessee, and more.
Between dealing with clients and the media, public relations work certainly teaches the value of patience. Still, that’s nothing on the time and tolerance needed to build a massive domino work-of-art while fighting the urge to knock it down. Just ask YouTube video maker FlippyCat, whose second attempt at creating a domino version of Vincent van Gogh’s famous “Starry Night” took roughly 11 hours. (You can also see FlippyCat’s recreation of “Mona Lisa” here.)
Meanwhile, the rest of the art community remains on a manhunt for Uriel Landeros, a 22-year-old charged with vandalizing an original Picasso at a Houston museum after a camera phone caught him spray-painting a bull and the word “Conquista” over the artwork.
