German radio station holds writing contest—and morticians are upset
The PR stunt asks people to write their own epitaphs. The author of the wittiest one wins money for his or her funeral. Seriously.
Germany’s Radio Galaxy is holding a writing competition of sorts. The winner gets €3,000—toward the cost of his or her own funeral.
How do you enter?
Oh, you just write the wittiest epitaph for your gravestone and submit it on the station’s website. According to U.K.-based PR pro Rich Leigh, more than 650 contestants have entered their own epitaph.
