However, as I sat up approximately 20 to 30 seconds later, the room quickly went gray on me, which was apparently more color than was left in my face.
The next thing I knew, I awoke with my back flush to the ground, my face consumed by cold washcloths.
Despite this incident (and a paralyzing fear of needles), I continue to give blood, although my personal means of contribution may soon change. Turns out, I could just write a check.
