Did Amanda Knox’s big interview help her PR cause?
The Seattle college student, accused and convicted of murdering her roommate in Italy, then later released, is speaking publicly on ABC in conjunction with the release of her new memoir.
Knox, a Seattle college student convicted of murdering her roommate Meredith Kircher in Italy, was in an Italian prison for four years. She was released after the guilty verdict was overturned. Now she has a new memoir, “Waiting to Be Heard,” in which she offers grisly details of life in an Italian prison.
Some observers, such as CNN host Howard Kurtz, wondered why the media is still paying attention to Knox:
