Cuisinart recalls millions of blenders
The kitchen appliance maker is warning customers of a potentially dangerous product. Here are details and words from its chairman.
Cuisinart has issued a major recall of its food processors after some consumers reported finding broken pieces of blades in their food.
The recall affects around 8 million food processors (and another 300,000 in Canada) across 22 models. Cuisinart’s parent company, Conair, has said that it received 69 blade-in-food reports. Of those, 30 mouth or tooth injuries were reported.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says that the recalled food processors were purchased from July 1996 through December 2015 for between $100 and $350.

“These are in millions of American homes, including my own,” CPSC chairman Elliot Kaye told ABC News.
