Canada’s privacy laws = no Facebook facial recognition North of the Border
Facebook said it does not plan to roll out the feature in Canada ‘at this time.’
According to The Globe and Mail:
A spokesperson for Facebook did not say why Canadians would not get access to the feature but wrote in an email: “Not all of our launches roll out globally and each of our different products and features have varying launch schedules, and we don’t have plans to roll this feature out in Canada at this time.”
