A recent report convinced pasta-lovers of the carbohydrate’s health benefits. Many were pleased until they realized it was paid for by a famous pasta company. Here’s the scoop.
Is pasta good for you? In the worlds of health and marketing, it depends whom you ask.
A study from the journal Nutrition and Diabetes, which recently launched a study to determine the health effects of pasta found that “pasta consumption was negatively associated with BMI, waist circumference and waist-to-hip ratio and with a lower prevalence of overweight and obesity.”
Great news for pasta lovers, right?
There’s a catch.
