Barbie, others embrace females’ stories for International Women’s Day
Mattel is releasing new dolls based on heroines around the world, while other organizations are highlighting tales from inspiring women both in and outside their brands.
Just in time for International Women’s Day, Mattel is offering consumers miniature replicas of heroines around the world.
On Tuesday, the toy company announced that it was debuting three new Barbie dolls under its “Shero” collection, with additional figures to come.
NBC News reported:
“Barbie’s “Shero” program began in 2015 to highlight real women who have broken boundaries in their field,” CNN reported .
