How a health care org’s holiday video earned more than half a million views

Klick Health’s holiday video—set to a soundtrack of more than 100 everyday office sounds—innovatively depicts what a typical day at the organization looks like.

It’s not every day that American Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest recognizes a health care video, but thanks to its holiday video card, Klick Health earned a shout-out from the popular radio program.

The video also earned Klick the prize for Best Recruitment Video in Ragan’s 2014 Employee Communications Awards for its unique and innovative portrayal of the organization.

Created in partnership with Andrew Huang, a popular musician and new media artist on YouTube, the video begins with Huang arriving at Klick Health’s offices for a meeting. While he waits for his appointment, Huang watches Klick employees (almost all 400+ employees appear in the video) go about their day.

By orchestrating 134 everyday office sounds and looping them more than 1,000 times, Huang created a funky, electronica rendition of “Jingle Bells” that shows what a typical day at Klick Health is like. There are clips of employees doing normal office tasks, like pulling down projection screens, dialing phones, and clicking pens, but there are also quick clips of employees taking advantage of office perks, like taking kickboxing classes, playing air hockey, challenging each other in video games, relaxing on couches, and munching free food.

The video provides a fun look inside the organization and gives potential employees an idea of what it would be like to work there.

Twenty days after the video launched, it had 840,000 views.
