Americans want more vacation time—even though they’re not using it
Nearly a quarter of American workers surveyed would give up five percent of their salary for five more vacation days, yet half had unused holidays.
More than half of Americans who had 14 vacation days in 2011 had unused time. Most of those left two days of vacation time unused. And yet 52 percent of Americans would forego office-related events for five more vacation days, while 23 percent would swap five percent of their salary. Go figure.
