Infographic: 7 emerging trends for email marketers
Avoid getting sent to spam this year with these tips and tricks.
When it comes to reaching audiences, social media is often top-of-mind for communicators. But tried and true tactics like email marketing are still relevant, and in many cases, provide the best ROI.
While tweets and Instagram shares may be the on-trend way to get more eyeballs on your organization’s content, email marketing is still a valuable way to reach your audience. According to 2021 data from Statista, the global email marketing market is projected to increase by more than $10 billion by 2027.
This infographic from Red Website Design outlines seven trends that email marketers should consider using in 2022.
The list includes trends like:
- User-generated content
- A recent study from the Consumer Technology Association found that American teenagers consume more user-generated content than traditional media.
- Interactivity
- Embedding videos and other forms of media in your emails make them stand out—but be sure to include some text alongside those sidesplitting GIFs. A Kissmetrics report found that spam filters will often flag your email if it only contains an image or video.
- Augmented and virtual reality
- The infographic suggests including a 2D image in your email that expands into a 3D, augmented reality image when clicked on or tapped. Watch the Ragan Training video, “New Tools for Social Marketers: From AR to VR and Everything in Between,” for more on using augmented reality.
