St. Louis-based Cepia, the maker of Zhu Zhu Pets, came out swinging after consumer Web site Good Guide claimed the toys had a high level of a dangerous metal. On Saturday, the toymaker issued a press release denying the claim and insisted the toys were safe. On Monday, the company issued another statement denying the report.
