A day in the life of Target’s VP of communications
Three days in the life, actually. Go behind the scenes with Dustee Tucker Jenkins to see what goes into keeping its PR team on task.
Here, she chronicles three days of a whirlwind visit to New York:
TUESDAY
7 a.m. — Wheels up. I have a pinch-myself exciting job—one that also requires me to spend a lot of time on the road (and in the air), which makes for very long days (in heels, no less). Going straight to lunch with a dear friend when I arrive in New York is the perfect way to kick off my busy week.
12 p.m. — Lunch at Lambs Club. â¨Having lunch with Michael Carl—Vanity Fair‘s fashion market director—is always a highlight of my trips to New York. Hitting the Lambs Club, a meeting hub for media and PR pros, is a great way to start my trip. Michael and I catch up on the latest trends, his Carl’s Crush blog (and outrageous Twitter feed), and the Target fashion event he’ll attend later tonight.
