Here I go, here I go, spit that 2012 flow. Plus, an on-air graphic startles a Fox News anchor, the pop culture trends behind the most popular baby names, the most well-crafted love letter you’ll ever read, and more.

The Mayans believe our world’s ’bout to end,
That we’d better bid buh-bye to our family and friends.
If so, it’s been real, though I hope this news proves untrue,
‘Cause then you’ll never stand a chance at winning this contest—boo.
The New York Times is asking students to submit,
A rap that sums up 2012 with lyrics too legit to quit.
In partnership with Flocabulary, may you spit better rhyme than I,
Just have a look at last year’s winner and you’ll understand why.
There’s def a lot to cover and entries are due on January 7,
So find your inner Lil Wayne and start flowin’ that lyrical heaven.
