LinkedIn reports earnings growth
The online platform, aimed at professionals, is seeing growth across its marketing offerings.
The company posted a 23 percent year-over-year earnings boost to $960 million for the third quarter. Those numbers beat analysts’ projections.
LinkedIn made the largest gain with its Talent Solutions revenue, which rose 24 percent year-over-year to $623 million. Marketing solutions also saw a bump, up 26 percent to $175 million.
This is a sign that LinkedIn marketing is working, particularly for business-to-business users who can pay to more prominently feature their accounts and their content on the site—much the same way as Facebook or Twitter.
It’s also indicative of LinkedIn’s rise as a talent-acquisition tool, cutting further into a landscape that Career Builder and Monster.com once dominated.
