Social media users show their support for same-sex marriage
Facebook and Twitter users replace their profile pictures with equal signs today as the Supreme Court begins two days of hearings on same-sex marriage.
To show support for gay marriage, thousands of people on Facebook and Twitter have replaced their profile pictures with equal signs. It’s part of a social media push from the Human Rights Campaign. Several phrases and hashtags related to the hearings also emerged as trending topics on Twitter on Tuesday.
