‘One size fits most’ poncho won’t accommodate your ‘fat’ children
Outdoor gear retailer Gander Mountain has pulled the product from its online store, but you can still shop at Walmart for your toddler’s ‘naughty’ Halloween costume.
Outdoor apparel purveyors Gander Mountain recently labeled a youth poncho “One size fits most youth, unless they’re fat.”
Inappropriate, right?
Consumerist took up the story and contacted Gander Mountain’s media relations department, which assured them that suggesting that “fat” is a viable size for children was not part of the company’s policy.
Rather than changing the description, Gander Mountain just took it down.
Try and hide it as they might—it happened.
