HSBC holiday greeting includes home foreclosure warning
A sign posted in a bank branch wishes customers “season’s greetings,” but also has some unwanted legal language.
HSBC wanted to wish its customers a happy holiday season and thank them for making HSBC their mortgage provider. The company also decided to take the opportunity to remind customers that if they default on their mortgage, their home will be taken from them.
This sign was posted in the window of on of its London branches (and presumably others, since it appears to be an official HSBC posting):
