6 reasons why editors should hire PR pros
Plenty of seasoned PR folks began their communications careers as journalists. For publishers looking to give their newsrooms a talent boost, one writer suggests giving those veterans a try.
Journalists often are strong candidates for a variety of roles in public relations.
Reporters and editors have a strong connection to the industry, are great writers, understand the media landscape and know how to tell a vivid story.

2. They know “good business.”
