Many people are well aware of Donald Trump’s first career before becoming president of the United States (real estate professional, for those don’t remember), but you’re probably not as well versed in the first positions the rest of the world’s leaders held in their professional lives.
CashNetUSA recently posted its list of “The First Jobs of World Leaders” to help boost your knowledge.
Military- and education-based professions were the most popular, with 34 world leaders having worked in these areas. On the other hand, only one leader has worked in the following professional fields: “math and science,” “economics,” “not for profit,” “religion and spirituality,” “service” and “social sciences.”
Here are a few interesting first jobs: Guatemala’s Jimmy Morales started out as a comedian, Mongolia’s Khaltmaagiin Battulga was a professional wrestler and Afghanistan’s Ashraf Ghani is a former anthropology professor.
